I feel Morris releases 'the ego' from his work as he sets himself restrictions and targets while drawing so as to get a different result. He works blindfolded and may set targets for him to do on each work e.g begin on the left with a series of motions, attempt to duplicate these, mirror fashion, on the right side, making all motions identical to the first action. This way of drawing really interests me. Not only is the result aesthetically pleasing, the process of the drawing is fun. The public could do this in a gallery space? I like the idea of setting a restriction such as being blindfolded.
