Using My Body

I crushed up charcoal to work with powder as I think it gets off a better result on the paper than working with it directly. After sprinkling the powder on to the page I used my hands directly onto the newsprint gliding in different directions, pushing and smoothing over. Doing this until the powder was absorbed. The larger chunks of charcoal caused some vivid black lines to occur, the smaller powder forms created smooth shading effects. The result is abstract but for me I can see a sitting human form - female. This is unintentional which makes it even more interesting for myself. What realities can come out of the abstract - the results are infinite.
If the composition is turned landscape the aesthetic completely changes. It looks to me like a star scape.
