Chris Burden (the mad performist ?)

To me, this man puts on nothing more than outrageously thought provoking performances that challenge not only the way we think about subjects brought up within the art but the way we think about art in general. This man makes people question what art is and that is something I like in an artist. You can't be any more personal with your work than Burden. I would like to think I'm getting personal with my work as I am using my body more and more throughout this project. Here are some pictures from his well known works:
